QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR

Ever Better Eating, Inc. takes pride in the quality of our products.  We are looking for a detailed oriented, full-time Quality Control Supervisor to join our team and help us continue to create quality pizza products.

Summary:

The QC Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and training the associates and managing food product quality on a daily proactive basis.  You will provide training, guidance and follow up to Quality and Production Associates Insuring that the food products meet our quality standards, are completed on time and meet deadlines in delivering customer orders.

Essential Functions/Duties:

Provide training, guidance and follow up to QA technicians on performing their daily duties.

Set short term quality objectives for the quality team

Monitor and take appropriate action on product quality concerns

Ensure that the production, warehouse and sanitation departments are following standard procedures and take appropriate action to ensure active compliance            

Participate in trainings and development activities to ensure that new technologies are applied and that staff skill levels are developed

Review Quality Documentation and verify authenticity

Ensure that all in house processes and procedures guarantee that the product is produced to agreed specifications

Perform Pre Op inspections and verify that all ATP checks are valid before start up.

Perform BOM (Bill of Material) audits and verify recipe specifications

Skills/Qualifications:

A degree in Food Science and or equivalent experience

A strong knowledge of food safety

Ability to uncover problems before they occur

A strong understanding of continuous food processing

2-3 years in a Supervisory role

Attention to deal a must

Understanding about Quality standards and testing

Good math aptitude

Food manufacturing experience

Experience with Product Quality

Good communication skills

Must Read, write and speak English

Works well as a member of a team

Physical Demands:

May walk, stand for long periods time, sit occasionally, reaching, twisting, push, pull, squat, climb stairs, see, hear

Lift weight between 5-50 lbs. or occasionally 50 lbs-100 (performed with buddy lifting, 2 person assist)
