HR Manager- Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing team!


We are Ever Better Eating, Inc., a New Hampshire company known for our premier hand-made flatbread and hand formed pizzas and crusts.  Our brands are popular in retail stores coast-to-coast. You may recognize our pizzas in local grocery stores as Rustic Crust and American Flatbread.  We take tremendous pride in the quality of our products. Our workforce is vitally important to us. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated  HR Manager to join our growing team in Pittsfield, NH.

This is not a remote position.

Summary:

The human resource manager performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, organizational development, training, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program, benefits management, and payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The HR Manager must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.

 Essential Functions/Duties:

  1. Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
  2. Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action.
  3. Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  4. Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
  5. Assists with recruitment tasks if needed
  6. Acts as an employee relations specialist.
  7. Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems. Reports vacation, sick, personal day and holiday use to payroll and scheduling. Maintains and distributes report of same.
  8. Maintains employee personnel files.
  9. Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  10. Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e., three months, six months, one year and yearly thereafter).
  11. Updates, monitors and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on three- and six-month and one-year evaluations.
  12. Reports, maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.
  13. Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.Maintains and distributes list of new and canceled employees under each benefit plan. Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment.
  14. Administers COBRA for group health plans.
  15. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.


The team

Develop and implement organizational growth programs for all levels of employees·

       

Develop and maintain relationships with third party staffing agencies

·        Participates and conducts the on-boarding and new hire orientation if needed

·        Handles related HR documentation

·        This position requires local travel on a regular basis to recruit for candidates if needed

·        Must have reliable transportation 

·        Performs other duties as assigned

 

Skills/Abilities:

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·        Great writing skills and ability to articulate clearly

·        Outstanding organizational and planning skills 

·        Familiarity with a variety of recruiting tools, methods, applicant tracking system

·        Knowledge of and savvy ability to use social-media if needed 

·        Gain understanding of duties, skills, and job requirements to successfully find talent to fill positions

·        Attention to detail a must

·        Works with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

·        Able to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities

 

Qualifications:

·        2-3 years in HR management experience in production/manufacturing, industry a plus

·        2-3 years HR experience relating to onboarding and general policy management

·        Team-oriented, works collaboratively with all members

·        Strong background in supporting company culture

 ·       Proven ability to develop organizational growth programs

·        Self-motivated and able to work independently

·        Experience utilizing applicant tracking system including updating and managing activity consistently  

·        Proficient computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office and variety of web based systems

·        Great time management skills

·        Must be flexible and adaptable

·        Work hours/schedule could vary somewhat to meet business needs and shifts

·        Typical hours primarily 8-5 weekdays, but can vary

 

  Work Environment:

·        Can be noisy

·        May walk around moving equipment and machinery while giving tours

·        Some travel between 2 locations – ½ mile apart

·      Ability to work with interruptions and distractions yet complete tasks timely

 

This position does not include relocation as part of the offer.
